Our wines at all levels emerge from our own personal mix of instinct and imagination.
Our estate-level wines are our calling cards. They offer a delicious introduction to the Knauß universe of wines. Following the philosophy of the estate, they encompass a selection of monovarietal white, rosé and red wines. Feel free to sip and savor! Our wines at all levels emerge from our own personal mix of instinct and imagination.
As the name already reveals: place is what make our Ortswein so special. They express the character of a village’s different vineyards. We reduce yields to 50 l/are on our mature vines. The red wines are given skin contact and ferment exclusively with native yeasts. The reds are then raised exclusively in large and small wooden casks, the whites primarily in the same way.

SINGLE VINEYARD WINES
Vines up to 60 years old, growing on the soils that fit them best. Meticulously managed, with crops thinned several times each cycle to reduce yields to 30 l/are. These expressive wines can then be cellared for up to 15 years. The reds mature in small and large wooden casks, before unfiltered bottling. Our whites ferment and age primarily in large wooden casks.
Pure nature — our natural wines are unfiltered, unsulfured and without any additives. Our vines, which are up to 35 years old, lend the Pure range an especially strong character. All red and white wines are given skin contact and ferment exclusively with wild yeasts. The red wines are then matured in large and small wooden casks, while portions of the white wines are raised in amphora. A pure flavor experience!

To celebrate occasions big and small, we recommend our bottle-fermented sparkling wines. Our bubbles are produced using the famed méthode traditionnelle used for Champagne itself. Each bottle matures for at least 12, and in some cases up to 48 months, on the lees.
